We are an award winning company and are recognised for our achievements in the ICT sector. We operate several departments, with around 50 staff, all working together for our customers and we are made up of; the Board of Directors, the Support Team, the Sales Team, the Business Operations Team, the Quality Assurance Team, the Development Team, the Online Team and the Administration Team.

Meet our Senior Team

I joined Merit in 2005, working as Technical Director, before moving to become the company’s Managing Director.

Day to day my role involves overseeing the management of our talented workforce, liaising with our customer base and providing technical input on our product development.

What I enjoy about working at Merit is how varied my role is. I get great satisfaction in seeing how our Payroll and Invoicing solutions improve business operations for our customers- we are a market-leading company and always aim to deliver what the customer needs. The development of our staff is also key to me and I am proud to see skills and knowledge broaden across each of our teams.

Outside of work I enjoy watching a variety of sports and am a keen golfer, I also enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family.


I joined Merit Software in 2008 and am responsible for the management of all inbound sales and the sales processes within the team. Merit has a series of core values such as Professionalism and Trustworthiness and I believe strongly in being honest and upfront with customers at all times. As Sales Director I am responsible for maintaining sales growth and reporting to the board and our shareholders.

It’s really nice to sell a product that you know works well for your customers and helps them grow. I have worked in various Sales and IT roles in the past, including some very high-pressure sales roles, and Merit is refreshing in that it has always looked towards steady growth and supporting customers by doing a good quality job.

I fill my spare time with volunteering and  work with the  local Coastguard team as well as being a Special Inspector with Dyfed-Powys Police. Both those roles require me to maintain a fitness level and I’ve been enjoying going for runs and horse riding in the amazing scenery we have here in our area.

I first joined Merit Software in 2000 on a work placement scheme from University. Following my graduation, I was then offered a full-time position and joined the company in September 2001. During my time I have worked in a variety of departments and was appointed Team Lead of the New Business Development Team when it was formed.

My role involves project planning, ensuring all new system installation projects meet the client’s requirements and providing successful delivery.

I enjoy the challenges a new project brings and strive to ensure a good working relationship is formed with all project stakeholders.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and more often than not this involves taking them off to concerts, shows and museums around the UK and abroad.

After leaving the stock exchange in London, I joined Merit in 2006 as the Office Manager. As the business grew, I progressed into my current position as Financial Accounts Manager.

On a daily basis I deal with invoicing, credit control, and reporting to the directors.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading,  historical re-enactments, and spending time with family and friends.

I joined Merit Software in 2007 on the Support team. Since then, I’ve worked in the core development team on various projects including large legislative items such as RTI & pension auto-enrolment.

In 2015 I joined the online team where I co-developed Merit Expenses, before advancing to Lead Developer in 2017. My main focus since then has been developing Merit One.

Outside of work, I like to go to music events and enjoying the Pembrokeshire countryside.

I started work at Merit in 2009 and have been in a number of roles, however, I have been the Projects Team Leader since 2016

My role involves managing the Business Operations team, overseeing the change requests to the core product. We work closely with the Development Team and QA team to ensure that changes are assessed, developed, tested and implemented into our client’s systems as smoothly as possible. Alongside this I also manage the strategic projects, acting as Project Manager for our quarterly releases and up and coming changes that are being introduced to the core product.

I love the interaction with clients and the new challenges that are introduced in the role. I am always learning. I am happy in the knowledge that I have a dedicated, supportive team who work hard and care about the work and the clients.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, socialising and spending time with my family.

I joined Merit in 2013 on the Sales Team where I supported the Sales Director, before moving to New Business and looking after new clients.

In 2015 I was promoted to Office Manager and now I am responsible for supporting all departments within the company.

Outside of work, I enjoy to stay fit, walking my two dogs, renovating my home, and spending time with my granddaughter.

I first joined Merit in 2013 and have worked in a variety of departments within the company, which allowed me to quickly learn about every aspect of the products and our clients’ needs.

In 2016 I took on a consultant role, which involved meeting with new and existing clients to understand their requirements and discuss how Merit can fit in with their business. This has led to a senior consultant / developer role within the development team.

I joined the Merit Software team in 2014, beginning as a Support Team member, before being promoted to the position of Support Team Leader.

My role is completely customer focused, day to day I coordinate our team, aiding customers with payroll issues and technical support with our product range.

The best part of my job is the satisfaction I get from problem-solving our customer’s queries and also seeing the development of skills and knowledge amongst my team. We are a passionate group and are always looking to share knowledge across the company where we can.

Outside of work my passions are live music, kayaking around the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast and family outings.
