Over the last few weeks we have started to roll out Merit version 13 as part of our Year End Update.

So, what’s new this year? There are many changes and additions to the system, including:
New Navigation System
Merit 13 includes a new and improved navigation on all the main forms. The new navigation allows us to align the functionality with our web-based products such as Merit One.
Long time users of Merit Payroll will have noticed that as new legislation and functionality has been added to the system over time, the main forms have become crowded in places, or new functionality has had to be added in less intuitive places.
The new streamlined navigation gives you access to all the functions for a particular area of the system in one simple, easy to find menu.
Dark Mode
We’ve had great feedback about the new branding of the system over the last year and frequently have been asked about adding a dark mode.
This year, an optional dark mode is available as a new theme, with the option to change back to the light mode at any time.
Legislative Changes
In addition to these new cosmetic elements, there are also several legislative updates.
These include changes to CIS corporation tax, NICs changes for Freeports and Veterans, payslip changes for the health and social care levy, updated rates, and much more.
